ChARACTER VILLA

RENOVATION & RESTORATION

NARROW NECK

Set in one of Auckland's most sought after coastal suburbs, this substantial heritage home at Narrow Neck has undergone an extensive restoration and renovation designed to honour its architectural character while enhancing the way it functions for modern family living.

The project involved the careful restoration of original heritage features, significant structural work, and the integration of new living spaces that sit comfortably alongside the home's historic fabric. Every decision was made with respect for the original architecture, ensuring new additions felt as though they had always belonged.

From the street, the home's character remains front and centre. Ornate timber detailing, traditional weatherboards, stained-glass features and expansive verandas have been carefully restored, preserving the craftsmanship and proportions that define homes of this era.

Beyond the restoration work, the project included extensive alterations to improve flow, functionality and connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces. New additions have been thoughtfully integrated into the existing home, creating generous living areas while maintaining the integrity and charm of the original design.

Attention to detail has been a defining feature throughout the build. Heritage elements have been carefully retained and reinstated, while modern construction methods, materials and services have been incorporated discreetly behind the scenes to ensure the home performs for generations to come.

The result is a home that respects its history while embracing contemporary living. A balance of craftsmanship, restoration and thoughtful construction that reflects the Coast & Country approach to heritage and character homes.
